Final Lap 3 & Raiden II

Final Lap 3 was picked up Saturday evening and has been put in its spot in the KwadKade room. It needs some cleaning, a coin door & mechs and a brake pedal. It’s shut off at the moment, but hopefully it will be on for free play soon as the missing parts don’t keep it from becoming playable.
Raiden II is now up and running on Free Play. There were some incompatibilities with the CGA to VGA board I was using, but after a swap with Street Fighter II, the machine is now running. The coin mechs will need to be replaced in order for it to take tokens. Right now to coin-up you hit a button on the front of the cabinet. This is a temporary fix.
I’ve got the arcade area almost setup the way I want. I need to block out some more light and put up some more black light blubs. But so far I think it looks good.
I had a monitor die in the Robot Unicorn Attack machine. Before it decided to go kaput, I thought Windows was having issues and was causing issues with the display. It’s been swapped out, but now I will need to make a new bezel for the monitor sometime this weekend.
Re-arranging the Arcade Room & Final Lap 3

Re-Arranging
I’m doing some minor re-arranging of the area that the KwadKades are held to make room for a RPG and Modeling room at CGC. In order to do this the Arcade machines are being shuffled around a bit to make room. Most of the moving has already been done, but, there’s some more setup that I need to do before calling it complete. I also picked up some full size black lights today to help with the atmosphere and hoping to soon add some background music. I’ll be posting pics soon.
Final Lap 3
As talked about in the last posting, Final Lap 3 will be the next machine added to the collection. This cabinet will be known as the Mark VII. I have not yet received it yet, but should hopefully be here in the upcoming week or two. Once it comes in I’ll post some pictures. This machine will be setup to take tokens. It may need a little work so it could be a couple of weeks before it’s ready to run.
Parts
The parts I ordered last week have now been shipped. They’re coming from NY & NJ so it will be later in the week before I get them.
Raiden II issues

I’ve been having some issues with getting Raiden II working. The board works fine when I put it in the Mark I cabinet, so I know the board is good. But for some reason it does not startup properly in the Mark IV. I just ordered a couple of Jamma harnesses and a new power supply for it. I also picked up another CGA to VGA converter board and a few more buttons and joysticks for future machines. This should get the Raiden II board going sometime around Jan 21st or so.
There will be another cabinet coming in the near future. Trying to figure out when I can get it.
Hook Added and More Coming Soon

The Mark V has been added to the Kwadkade line-up. This machine is a 1/2 height cabinet running Hook.
Raiden II is now in the Mark IV and will be running in a few days.
Newly added Mark VI will have Tekken 3. This one will take a while to build up, as a monitor & coin door will be needed to complete this machine.
